County Department of General Services

Under the direction of the County Administrator, the Department of General Services is responsible for the efficient and economic management of the physical plant and property assets owned or maintained in the custodial care of the Washington County Board of Supervisors. Physical plant includes all buildings, grounds, structures and unimproved real estate holdings: property assets includes all motor vehicles, equipment and major infrastructures related to physical plant holdings. The Department also procures and manages contracts related to the upkeep, equipping and operation of County facilities, and insures that adequate insurance protection is provided to all County facilities and property and that County facilities are compliant with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
